Romantic italian dive

Italian Pizza, San José, Costa Rica

First of all, you shouldn't come here for the pizza - everyone knows the best pizza in San Jose can be found in El Pueblo or on Calle de la Amargura (both preferably enjoyed at the hazy end of a long night out). What is really cool about this dive is the location and ambience - you'll probably end up walking although if you have a car you can take it directly up the tracks and park out front - there is a watchiman to guard the cars though not much room to manage a space off the rails. If on foot, start walking up the tracks where they come out by the aqua-gym - don't park you car there though and keep an eye out as this area can be shady at night. The restaurant is very small, and if you can find a table you'll undoubtably squeeze in between other couples making-out to a Bocelli or Sade score. The restaurant is open late and the owner won't usually kick you out if you keep drinking - I don't think he's Italian but he seems to appreciate the power of love!
