Cheap and good Caribbean fare

While offering the usual CR tipico cuisine, Kon Tiki is highly recommended for their Caribbean offerings - excellent Rice n' Beans, Rondón and don't forget the Agua de Sapo - a sweet ginger drink. The food is cheap and good - a great change of pace if you're tired of the same old casados and gallo pinto! Next door to Kon Tiki is La Caribeña, a Limónesque disco, packed until late almost every night - featuring a big-screen for futbol games, drink specials, and a different crowd flavor then you will find elsewhere in San Jose.
