Creative, mostly veggie, cafe

Jeffrey's Bistro, Laramie, United States

There are two or three good places to eat in Laramie; Altitude is evidently more upscale, but we chose Jeffrey's: Kid-friendly, relaxed, and a mostly meatless menu items (but they do offer sausage, shrimp, and chicken). The selections include dishes from Thai, Indian, and Italian cuisines, as well as the more traditional staples like veggie burgers. We had dopiaza: the brown rice was a litttle too crunchy, and the curried lentil soup, though tasty, was way too thick, but still, it is a treat to find this stuff in Laramie. And the beer selection, though bottled, was quite good. The desserts, of which there were many, including umpteen varieties of cheesecake, looked dangerous.
