Rawlins' only fine eatery
The Blake House, Rawlins, United States
Not only is this the only place in Rawlins to get a fine dinner or lunch, it's worth a stop if you're traveling on I-80. We were on a paleontological dig in the desert some 45 miles to the southeast, and were delighted to come off-site and find items like cold mango gazpacho and seared fresh tuna nicoise. Big portions, too. The french fries aren't bad, either, though not, I think, created on premises. Plenty of home-brewed ice tea, a decent wine list, though we didn't sample any, and some killer-ish desserts. The chocolate souffle is over the top, but if your taste runs to gooey sauces and hot sweet chocolate desserts, you'll be just fine.
